so this weekend is going to be Fun Filled and Fancy free. haha. We are doing the Bosom Buddies walk in Montrose on Saturday Then to the Fall Festival put on as a fundraiser by Cannon's Preschool. Sunday we are going to the Pumpkin patch that we go to every year and going to have our "annual family picture" by the bridge at the patch. I am so excited. I love, love, love Fall and can't wait to spend some time outside with my Boys (all 3 of them).

So Today marks the one month birthday for my sweet baby Karter. I can't even believe that a month has passed. It seems like he was just brought into my arms in the recovery room. I have really found myself being stingy with him where I wasn't with Cannon. I won't give him up to visitors very often just because I look at how big Cannon is and it makes me want to snuggle Karter so tight so I won't lose that sweet baby-ness of him. Cannon just doesn't want to cuddle anymore and it makes me sad to think Karter soon won't either. Oh well That is enough sillyness from me. Happy 1 month birthday baby boy.

So Kris has been working out of town for 3-5 days and coming home for 3-5 days. Yesterday he came home after being gone and Cannon was "supposed to" be napping,I was sitting on the couch next to Kris and we were whispering so that Cannon wouldn't wake up. Well then Bug came out to go potty and said to me "Mommy I have to go........ DADDY I am so glad you are home I have missed you so much. Mommy look Daddy is home aren't you so happy he is home." He Made us both cry like babies. It's so amazing how much these little bundles tug at your heartsrings with the silly little things they do. I just love to see the love between my awesome Husband and our children. It's so neat.

Wow so I had no idea it had been almost a year since I had been on here... Well to catch you all up... In December we found out we were pregnant with baby Brown #2 And Now (10 months later) He is here. Karter Brown joined us in this world on the 20th of August 2010. He is a perfect baby boy and has the best big brother in the world. It makes me so happy to see the love that Cannon has for his little brother because it's a feeling I have never know. I am so happy with my life. here are a few pictures of Karter for you to see, he is the spitting image of Cannon at his age.

Cannon turned 3 on August 16th so just 4 short days before his baby brother came. He is in pre-school 2 days a week now and doing great. He's such a super smart boy. We are so proud of him.

I promise I will be better about writing here.

Today I am thankful for Adam Sandler. I know this sounds a little weird but just listen. 11 Years ago today his movie "The Waterboy" came out and I had a Blind Date to go see this film. It was the start of my life as I know it. This movie was my first date with Kris. Who would have guessed that a silly movie about an awkward Cajun boy from Louisana would change a person's life but this one did just that. I love my husband more today than ever but I have to give credit to this film because if not for it and a couple of our friends we might never have met.

You have no idea how lucky I am. I have not only married my soul-mate but also my best friend. I know that I tell you all the time how much I love you but I really don't think words can convey the love I have for you. Everyday I thank my lucky stars that we met almost 11 years ago to the day. I am overwhelmed at the amount of love you have given me and I just hope that you have received as much from me. You make me laugh and for that I am so thankful. Today I am Thankful for ALL of you. My Friends and Family. Without you all where would I be? I know I wouldn't be who I am today without most of you and the experiences we have shared. So for my thanksgivings today I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you for being my friends.

Ok so I know I haven't been on here much and that I haven't been consistent at all. I am changing all that now. hahaha.

Starting now I am doing a Thankful for blog a day. I am hoping to get creative and also to hopefully remind myself of what I have and how good I have it!

Today November 2,

I am thankful for my health. So many people are sick this season and Knock on wood we have all avoided it. We got Cannon his shots and are waiting a few more weeks to get ours. Cannon is responding to the shots well. There have been so many people around her that have had the Flu that I am just so glad that we haven't gotten sick.

I will also include a picture a day. here is one from our front porch fall decorations.

So we are going to GJ today to see my friend Juli in Guys and Dolls One of my All time favorite plays. I can't wait to see her in the role of Adalide. For those of you who don't know yet I am in the local Production of Cinderella that will start on the 15th of May. I am so excited to get back on the stage. I am playing JOY one of the stepsisters and I have so much fun being EVIL! I will let you all know how the show is progressing. I can't wait to see the final finished product. Normal is...
Unusual. When I was very young I always thought that I was NORMAL. Then as I got older and into school where kids talk about their families and lives I realized that my family was far from the idea of Normal that the people around me had. I grew up an only child in a world of Siblings. I grew up without a Father in a world of mother/father families. I grew up in a townhouse in a world of Single family homes. I grew up without a Yard and all my friends had grass and swingsets. I grew up with a working mother who had to put me in daycare in a world of SAHM's. I realized quickly that I was an Odd-ball or as my mother told me UNIQUE. Normal for me NOW is all the things I didn't have... I am a SAHM living in a Single family home with acreage and a swingset. I live there with the Father of my son and we want at least 2 more children. Now I know that NORMAL IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!!!!!

So We went to the park today and I am just amazed with all the new things Cannon can do. He is just getting so big. He climbed all the way to the top of the big slide and went down all by himself today... Just 3 days ago at the same park he could not achieve this feat. I am just so in awe of how quickly the kids grow and how awesome it is to see him do these things daily. He was so proud of himself that he just had to do more... He then went to the merry-go-round and decided that he was big boy enough to stand up while it was going around. I am just so glad that my dream of becoming a mom came true and it's the cherry on top having the worlds best little boy!

Ok So it has been a while.... lots has happened in the last few months. So in Feb we took Bug to Disneyland in CA and he had a BLAST. It was so fun to see one of my favorite places through his little eyes. He is doing wonderfully and just growing and getting smarter everyday. He is now 18 1/2 months old and it seems like just yesterday he was still in my big ol' belly. At his 18 month appointment he weighed in at 26lbs 9oz and was 33 1/2 inches tall. He is so smart and knows how to get his way already. He has about 50 words that he can sign and only says a few words. He says bubble, mama, daddy, yia yia, yes, no, and OG which is Dog. he is working so hard at his animal sounds. My favorite that he does is the Horse. I will try to get a video of the horse noise and put it up here. Kris is getting all geared up to go back to AK this summer and we are looking forward to the paychecks that will come with that. Ok so at Target the other day we got Cannon some big boy undies! they were Cheap so I bought 4 packages of them (Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse) So today I thought since they came out of the wash that I would try them on bug to see how they fit. Well as you can see they fit him GREAT! They are a size 4T so they shouldn't Fit him as well as they do. But anyway on to the BIG NEWS!!! I gave him some milk after he had been in the undies for an hour or so and then thought to myself... I should sit him on the Potty and see what happens... so I did and he sat there reading a book and after a min or so he got up and low and behold my BIG BOY went Potty (and a lot) in his big boy potty. I am so proud and so sad at the same time. I can't wait for him to grow up but still want him to stay so small... Oh I guess the joys of Toddlerum are among us.

So tonight we went to the Parade of lights with our friends the Gronke's . It was tons of fun but super cold. Bug looked so cute in his snow suit. He was having a great time and loved the lights on the floats and the MUSIC. He was dancing in his stroller with every band or musical float that went by.

We also put up the tree and it is not doing well. Bug is so into the ornaments that we have had to move them ALL to the tip top of the tree. He also discovered CANDY CANES.... He has taken 8 off the tree since Sunday and has eaten them ALL. He even got one down from the top of the tree by moving his rocking chair over to the tree and climbed up to the candy cane and stuck it in his mouth and came to me and said HUMMPH!! and walked away as if to say HAHAHA I got one and you can't have it. So the other day we took Cannon to Grand Junction to see Santa. He was so not into it this year. Lucky for us and him we had all the time in the world with Santa. There were no lines and no one was waiting to see him after us. So Bug walked up to him and wasn't so sure of him but after a few minutes of mom sitting with Santa and Cannon on my lap we got some "decent" pictures... Well that wasn't good enough for mommy, so we kept at it and eventually Cannon was giving Santa high fives and Knuckles. So we sat him down one more time and got this picture.

I was happy with the end result I am not sure if we will be able to fool him with the Easter bunny though.

History for the Historian!

OK so being a History major in College I sat and watched last night like the rest of America, Anxious to see what would become of the presidential race. Though things didn't go the way that I wanted we did witness History. We as a nation elected the first man of color to run our country. This is also true, that we could have elected the first Woman to be our Vice President. AMAZING because not more than 100 years ago Women as well as Men of color were not allowed to participate in the choice of our nations leader. For Historical reasons I do believe we as a Nation have WON!!!

As for me personally I am a bit worried. I consider myself a fairly Highly educated woman and knowing what I know of the "Changes" that may occur I have to step back and wonder if Carl Marx had a Major influence on Obama in school. It seems as if he took sections straight out of Marx's Communist Manifesto and used them for his "Change" ideas. I am not saying that he is going to turn us into a Communist society but some of his platforms lead in a very socialist direction and quite frankly it scares the crap out of me. I don't believe that I should have to pay for people who don't take the time and energy to find work... I know that we are in a recession and that jobs aren't readily available but I also know that in my small town there are HIRING signs up EVERYWHERE! I also don't want to lose the lively hood that I have now and the way I see the president elect going with Drilling and Mining on our own soil I am afraid that I may just do that. Kris My VERY DEMOCRAT husband is also a bit tense about this now. We have a nice life and I love my country but some things that have come to fruition recently are rather frighting to me.

I didn't write this to offend ANYONE. I plan on being very supportive of the President because he is my country's leader but I just needed to get my concerns out and after all isn't that what a blog is for.

Halloween with the Hulk...

So these are the pictures from Halloween.. We had a great time and went from about 3pm till 9pm. Bug was a bit tired to say the least. He was so cute he would get candy from someone then go to the next place and take a piece of Candy out and give it to that person instead of taking their peice from them. He was trying to share. I really think he is going to like Halloween as much as I do. YEA!!! Hope you all had a great halloween too.

So this last weekend we went to our local Pumpkin Patch. We had so much fun watching Cannon walk around and look at all the cool stuff. He loved the horses and the hay ride. His favorite thing though was the patch itself. He walked and ran around the pumpkins and Vines and just loved looking at all the different colors. He is so Inquisitive. I love this age. So I have come to know my favorite TV series as more true life that I had thought before. I have always coveted Lorelei Gilmore as one in the same with my mother but more recently I have noticed STRANGE coincidences in my small town to those of Stars Hallow. For instance we have a Town Troubadour. No it is not a young struggling musician, but rather a woman in her 60s that we refer to as CRAZY JUDY! She sings all along Main St. and gives daily "performances" at the local wal-mart. We also have ALMOST as many festivals as the town of Stars Hallow. In the last 4 months I think we have been to 15 festivals in our area. Apple fest, Corn fest, Fall Fest, County Fair, Strawberry fest, wine fest..... and so on! Anyway so we live in a make-believe town surrounded by characters that only movie writers could imagine. I love my little town and wouldn't trade it. I am so glad Cannon will be Raised here!

But that is no fun so now that the dining room and Kitchen are done I am going to write. Kris and I just spent 5 days away from Cannon. It was my first time leaving him overnight anywhere. My mom watched him and all was well but it still got to me. We went to Las Vegas for a conference/ Mine Expo for Kris' job. It was really neat to see what he does and to see all the big equipment. I love Vegas and we had a great time. We went to see David Copperfield and he was really cool. It just sucked that Bug couldn't go too. Kris is looking at jobs in Mexico, Kentucky, and West Virginia for the Fall then back to Alaska in the spring and summer. we are going to Vancouver BC this November for another Trade show so that will be fun. we get to bring bug along for that one!!! I am subbing still and loving it. I like that I can Choose when and where I want to work. My cousin is getting married in 2 weeks and I am in the Wedding so we will be in Ft. Collins for that. Hey all.... we are still around. Cannon is just growing like a weed. It is crazy how fast things go once they hit the year mark. He is so intelligent I just cant believe it. he is now signing Milk, eat, please, dog, cracker, more, again, and mom (sort of) he is also now blowing Kisses. He is the spitting image of his daddy with the DANCING SKILLS of his mother! I will post the video below. Kris has been home for a couple of weeks and we are doing great. Still TTC again and it is going ok. I should know soon if we are prego again or not. I did my first Substitute job the other day for this school year and it was GREAT! It was for the group of 2nd graders I subbed for last year so I know the classroom and the teachers ways of doing things so that is good. The kids seem so big now that I have a baby. I will post a few new pictures here too.

Cannon Is one it's official... We had a big party for him on Saturday and so many of our friends and family came to visit and celebrate with us. Cannon says thanks by the way!

He is growing and growing... he is walking and talking and he now has 5 teeth. We had his 1 year appointment today and he weighed in at 22lbs 14oz and was 30 1/2 inches tall. He is finally out of the 95%for height and weight. YEA!!!! he is doing great. He got his mmr and chickenpox vacines today and also his Hep A so that sucks cause now he has the sneezes and is still up at 9pm. Daddy leaves for work again on Thursday but only for a few weeks hopefully! Here are some pictures of the birthday party!

Ok so here we go again. Cannon is Almost one. OMG I can't believe it. were did the last year go? I so want to go back to last August with the anticipation of his arrival and the first few moments with him in my arms and Kris by my side. Oh those were the days. Now he is walking and has 4 teeth (2 of which just popped through this week) I just can't imagine my life without him he is the 2nd best thing that has ever happened to me. Kris of course is the first!

Kris will be home for bug's birthday and then off again for Alaska for work. He will be home again in September and we are going to Las Vegas for a Mining Convention there. It will be my first time away from cannon since we had him. I know it will be good for me but i am really nervous.

Other than that there is nothing at all going on here so i will sign off for now. I will try again to get on in the next week to update but if I don't I will be on after the 16th with picts of bugs birthday!

11 months old

Well Yesterday Cannon was 11 months old. Yikes where has the time gone? I was always told that kids grow up too fast but now I am experiencing this first hand and I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT!!! I am excited to see what kind of man he grows into but I still want my little cuddle bug too. It's just so sad to see the process of life moving so quickly.

Anyway... we have been Great. We went to Michigan for my family reunion in June and it was Awesome. It's nice when you don't have family close to see the family that you have once in a while. There were over 70 people there and it was just so much fun.here is a pict of us in Lake Michigan (that is as far in as we went it was too cold!)

We went camping over the 4th with Kris' family which was also fun but sad because we had to cut the trip short so Kris could get back out to Alaska where he is working. he is there now and will be home just before Cannon's birthday.

That is what I am working on, the Big Birthday Plans!!! We are doing a party for bug at the park and having Pizza and Cake. It should be a blast. we are really excited.

I guess that is it for now.

Ok so I lied I have not been good about keeping this up to date. OH WELL SUE ME!!! Today was very rough. Cannon woke up at 1 am with a temp of 100.0 and it kept going up the highest it got was 102.7 which for him is really very high. he normally runs about 97.5 so that is up there for the little guy.

Tomorrow is daddy's day and kris is at work in Alsaka so he won't be home for his first one. That sucks.

We have been getting ready for our family reunion trip to michigan at the end of the month.

Cannon finished his first swimming lessons yesterday and he is our little fish baby. he loves being in the water.

Went to my friend Lindsays supprise birthday party last weekend and boy was she supprised it was so fun. I love you linds!

Sad day for me around here yesterday. It was our 2nd Aniversary (9 1/2 years together today) and Kris is working in Utah. YUCK!!! Also had to take Bug to the Dr. because of his cough. It's very persistant and so just wanted to get him checked its a week before his 9 month appointment but we did it today anyway.

Dr. Report: Cannon is 20.2lbs and 28 1/2 inches... This is good BUT he has lost almost 2 lbs from last month... Dr. said this is a number of things like his new activities Crawling and Walking (yes i said Walking) and it could be that he just dosen't get enough food... My issue with this is that his daily feeding schedule consists of 4-6 8oz bottles, 4oz jar of fruit of cereal/fruit mix for breakfast, 4oz of veggies or something at restraunt for lunch(mashed taters, beans, pasta) and a 4oz meat mix dinner or somthing from our dinner and 2oz of fruit. HOW IS THAT NOT ENOUGH FOOD??? I guess we just follow her rules that we pick When, Where,a nd What for dinner and he picks HOW MUCH!! Also because of his cough he is now diagnoised as an asthmatic and has Allergies. So he is on Zyrtec and Albuterol every day. My poor buggy boo.

Any way That is all that is new. I am Teaching today and most of next week so that will be good to keep my mind off of Kris being Gone. He gets home on Friday the 16th so that is GREAT!!! by the way Cannon will be 9 months on the 16th hard to believe our little bug is that old already.

Things are good, Kris is working in Utah and soon to be in Alaska. We miss him when he is gone but mostly we look forward to when he gets to come home. Cannon is getting so big. He is 8 months now and in the last 2 weeks he has gotten 2 teeth, stood on his own, started to walk with the couch, said "up" and "Hello", and is just all over the place. I just can't believe how stinking big he is now. He has such the personality he is just like his daddy; he is very easy going until he cant do something he wants to do then LOOK OUT!!! he is very determined. We take him in for his 9 month check up on the 15th of May so I will post his stats then.
